Borla Exhaust Problem

I have a 1998 5.0 and as you can see the exhaust pipe is siting too close to the leaf spring. I can't figure out how to raise it up or what is wrong. I have taken it to two mechanics and Minekee(sp?)! Has anyone had this problem? Could i possible get a kink bent into the pipe so it misses the leaf? Would this effect my performance?
